RiskDX May Update

The RiskDX newsletter provides a monthly update of development and new features added to RiskDX. Please contact us if you wish to subscribe. Here are some of our highlights from May 2020.

Needs Analysis

The Needs Analysis process has been completely overhauled. It still uses the same underlying philosophy we developed at the outset, but now has more configuration options for the insurer. This allows better configuration for the insurer’s specific market and products. We also made the text contextually relevant, so for example, if the applicant has children it describes the rationale behind the recommendation with respect to the children, but if they don’t have children doesn’t mention things like their education fund. This eliminates the need to describe the calculation as a static description.

Simulated Client Rollout Exercise

In addition to new development this month we complete a simulated client rollout. This highlighted some shortcomings in our branding configuration, these will be addressed in the configuration engine, in the meantime, we have manual workarounds to ensure a smooth deployment with brand-specific configuration.
We upgraded our servers to simulate multi-tenant development, UAT and production environments.
The new tenant we added is based on the RiskDX brand colours and looks absolutely stunning.

Payment Provider

We have added the ability to add and configure multiple payment providers. The system had been developed to support Payment Express. The system can now support any payment provider API and interface. New payment providers are added to the admin console as a new screen so their specific API variables can be accommodated as configuration rather than customization.  In theory, it is possible for an individual insurer to use more than one payment provider; the main takeaway is that we are not limited to any specific payment provider. PayPal has also been added as a default payment provider.
